It would take me a while to be able to read with it. It took me many years to discover what a cubicle farm was.

I'm not sure I could read with either one or the other. The art just doesn't speak to me, and I tend to do better with a more polished art style.

One of my favorites is still Dave McKean's Vertigo Tarot, although it would take me a while to get back into practice with any deck.

Normally I like a deck filled with metaphysical symbolism I can relate to, like the Thoth deck, or the Book of Kaos.

Normally, I don't like black and white decks, but for Orreyelle's metaphysical art, it works well.

I'm the same with b/w, but that one has some beautiful art and looks very readable.

First deck I read with was a Thoth deck - my mom's, actually. It got to the point where I was getting more out of it than she was. Eventually, I got a different deck as a gift, but later when I picked up my own copy of the Thoth deck it just didn't speak as clearly to me.

About five or six years ago, I started working on my own deck design - only thing is, I'm a writer, not an artist so it comes down to a set of descriptions. I really need to reorganize those notes and spend some more time finishing that off.
